Erik's Bio -

Teaching Goals:

Students will develop fundamental techniques designed to maximize leverage and power, resulting in the ability to perform with “controlled intensity.” Under the tutelage of San Diego’s all-pro guard Kris Deilman and all-pro center Nick Hardwick, Erik honed his craft as an interior o-line specialist, but has also developed extensive knowledge of all O and D-line positions. He will develop run and pass blocking for offensive students, and pass rushing and run-stopping for defensive students.

Pro Career:

Erik Robertson was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2007 for his aggressive style of play and ability to play the guard and center positions along the offensive line. He was also a member of the Seattle Seahawks in 2008 as a practice squad player, and in 2009 was drafted by the New York Sentinels for the inaugural season of the United Football League. He finished out his pro career with back to back seasons for the UFL’s Sacramento Mountain Lions in 2010 and 2011.

He played college ball at California where he started 24 games at left guard and help lead the Bears to four straight bowl appearances resulting in three championships including a PAC-10 championship in 2006. During his time as a Golden Bear he was an honorable mention all-league selection and three-time honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic honoree.  His senior season he was a team captain and was selected as the team's most valuable offensive lineman after starting all 13 games game despite battling various injuries, and went on to be selected to play in the Texas vs. The Nation Senior All-Star Game in El Paso, Texas.

High School:

Named by the Los Angeles Times as a first team All-Desert/Mountain Region as an offensive lineman. Also earned all-league as both an offensive and defensive lineman in 2001 and was named San Bernardino all-county selection for offensive-line play. He also placed 5th in state as a heavyweight wrestler and qualified for the CIF finals in the shot put for track and field.
