Ernie Munoz has played professionally for five different teams in his professional career, including the Coastal (Tex.) Kingfish of the Continental Baseball League in 2009, the Rockford (Ill.) RiverHawks of the Northern League in 2010 and the White Sands (N.M.) Pupfish of the Pecos League in 2011. Following the conclusion of White Sands’ season, Munoz was signed by the Chico Outlaws of the North American Baseball League. In 2012 Munoz played for the San Rafael Pacifics of the North American League. In addition to being an All Star in 2010, Munoz had his break out season in 2011 with the White Sands Pupfish. During his stay with the Pupfish, Munoz earned the Pecos League’s Offensive Player of the Year award after leading the circuit with a .427 batting average knocking 103 hits in 61 games as White Sands fulltime catcher. Munoz also finished second in the league with 18 doubles, 50 RBI and 63 runs scored. In addition, he collected MVP honors at the 2011 Pecos League All-Star Game.

Munoz has served as a private instructor working primarily with hitters and catchers for both baseball and softball. 

In 2012 he was the assistant softball coach at San Francisco State University where he served as the Gators catching coach.In 2013 Munoz was with University of California Berkeley, he served as a volunteer catching coach for the Cal Bears Softball team.
